Notes: All Tier 1 Pros must have a 2017 membership by January 31, 2017.
All Physique Canada Tier 1 Pros must hold a valid yearly membership to retain their status. Failure to obtain the membership by January 31 of the competing year means forefeiture of Tier 1 Pro status. The main reason for this strong policy is to keep the integrity of Physique Canada's in- and out-of-competition drug-testing program in place, for a level playing field for all athletes. It is the only one of its kind in this nation. Two types of membershis are offered: Competing and Noncompeting, explained below.
For Competing Tier 1 Pros
Competitors who have qualified to compete in Tier 1 Pro and plan to compete in a Tier 1 Pro 2017 event must have a Tier 1 Pro membership at the beginning of each competitive year. This membership entitles members to compete in Tier 1 Pro contests with no additional entry fees. Tier 1 Pro membership also comes with the following privileges:
- Private change/pump-up room (where event facilities allow)
- Profile poster on the website
- Tier 1 Pro competitors are also used to promote events through Facebook, posters, videos, publications, and the Physique Canada website
The yearly membership fee is $249.99 + HST and covers the current calendar year, expiring on December 31. If the competitor also wishes to compete in a Masters category (if he/she is 40+), the cost for entry into Masters division is $75 (50% of the usual cost) at the time of the event.
For Noncompeting Tier 1 Pros
Competitors who are not planning to compete in a Tier 1 Pro 2017 event, but wish to maintain their status can purchase the Noncompeting membership for only $49.99 + HST. If a competitor decides to compete, he or she can pay an "upgrade fee" of $229.99 + tax during the year.
Note: The payment option below is only for qualified Tier 1 Pro competitors. (Note: Tier 1 Pro competitors pay no additional competition entry fees for Tier 1 Pro categories at competitions.)
